Picked up a screw, nail or sharp object? We do proper mushroom-plug repairs to Australian Standard AS 1973 — the tyre comes off the rim, gets inspected for internal damage, and the puncture is sealed from inside with a vulcanised patch-plug. External rope plugs (the "side of the road" fix) are not safe long-term and we don't do them. Every repaired tyre is re-balanced and re-fitted.

Q.How much does a puncture repair cost?
$35 per tyre for a standard car/4WD puncture repair. That includes removing the tyre, inspecting it, fitting an internal patch-plug, and re-balancing the wheel.
Q.Can every puncture be repaired?
No — punctures in the sidewall or shoulder cannot be safely repaired. Only punctures in the central tread area (within the repairable zone defined by AS 1973) can be fixed. We'll inspect first and tell you honestly if a replacement is needed.
Q.Is it safe to drive on a tyre that's been plugged?
An internal patch-plug repair done to AS 1973 is a permanent, safe repair — including at highway speeds. External rope plugs are not safe long-term; we never use them.
Q.I drove on the flat. Is the tyre still repairable?
Maybe not. Driving on a flat tyre damages the internal sidewall (the inner liner gets shredded). We'll inspect the tyre — if it's structurally compromised we'll recommend a replacement instead of an unsafe repair.
